Abstract

|
Chronic active lupoid hepatitis is a form of chronic active hepatitis that is characterized by the presence of autoantibodies and hypergammaglobulinemia and absence of HBs Ag. This disease has many clinidal features that resemble those of systemic lupus erythematosus.
We report a case of chronic active lupoid hepatitis accompanied with prominent extrahepatic manifestations (pulmonary infiltrates, nephrotic syndrome, arthralgia, fever, acne, spider naevi, amenorrhea, erythematous skin rash, dry mouth, throat pain, abdominal pain, etc.) in a 33-year-old woman, which was suspected by clinical investigation, and confirmed by autopsy and microscopic examination of the specimen.
